Happy V-Day!

today is neela's and my second wedding anniversary. 2 years! and today, ella turned 13 months old!

there are so many things ella does now that just *kill* me. i love it so much.

like. when i'm putting her down for a nap or to bed, i'll stroke her cheeks and her neck and her head - it relaxes her. now, if i stop before she wanted me too, she grabs my hand and pulls it back across her face to tell me to keep going.

and like. when she wants a hug and kiss, but has to share the love, so brings her dolly and her minnie and her stuffed bunny and her cookie monster and they, along with her, have to all sit in my lap and have some hugs and kisses.

and how we taught her to blow kisses but she does it with the back of her hand.

her screams and squeals when you chase her. or tickle her. peals of laughter through the house.

she has this animals book and we always do animal sounds with it. we taught her that buffalos go "sniff/snort" cuz we couldn't think of anything else. the buffalo is on page 3. when you're on page 2 she practically vibrates with excitement over getting to page 3 when she can start sniffing. the following page is a monkey, and we all know she can do monkey sounds in a heartbeat. and now, she even does it on command.

"ella, what does a buffalo say?"
"SNIFFFFFF SNIFFF!"
"good!"
"OOOO OOOO AAAH AAHHH"

she does the monkey sounds without your asking.
